Ink


The title is not final but that doesn't matter.

Ink is a puzzle game where you manoeuvre you little dude around the landscape and get him to the exit. This would be incredibly easy if it weren't for the big eyeball creatures I've yet to name!

If you step into their line of vision they will ZAP you back to the beginning. They stand guard on every nook and cranny watching in all directions.

You do have one advantage though. Secret buttons scattered across the landscape force the eyeballs to turn on the spot allowing new pathways to open up!

Notes:

The game is in early stages of development and no menu, score or save have been implemented. There may be the occasional glitch or unintended error except at the very end of the demo where you'll find an error popping up, this is just the game asking where the next level is and you should ABORT when it happens. Each level is 100% possible so don't give up!

I just downloaded this game it so far, there's nothing to complain about visually, it looks magnificent. While I play, perhaps I'll come up with something more than just this, but there is a glitch where you can run over the rotation button without stopping and not get zapped by the Eye people. This only happens if the rotation results in the Eye rotating towards the rotation button, not if the Eye was already looking at the button. If I think of anything else, I'll let you know, but this is pretty fun so far.

I know about that little glitch and although it doesn't allow players to cheat it's still bad.

It's great! Smart level design coupled with some aesthetically pleasing graphics. The game can feel a bit too slidey at times which made me die a few times when going over buttons. I think this might've been a keyboard problem, but one time I couldn't move one space up, I could only hit a direction and then continue to walk in that direction instead of space by space.

Overall it's a fun little puzzler. Love the main character too!

Hmm odd about that glitch. It wasn't the ice on the last level by any chance?

I didn't have enough time to finish playing before work so I never made it that far. It was around the introduction to one hit switches.

That must be some sort of mental one off glitch. I'll watch out for it though.
