[edit] What is Hamachi (aka HamHam)
Hamachi simulates a LAN network. Used mostly for LAN Gaming.
- If you want to host and play with other people and simulate a LAN Connection, you'll need a program called Hamachi.
- You NEED version 1.0.3.0. Newer versions through "LogMeIn" dont work properly.
- To connect to another Revolve server running on Hamachi, Connect to their server VIA friends list. (Steam Games)
- Hamachi is normally referred to as HamHam among Revolve Members.
[edit] Revolve Hamachi Networks
To my knowledge, The Main Revolve Server is full. You need to connect to a Overflow server.
- Revolve Main Network (FULL)
- Hamachi server: Revolve
- Hamachi password: revolve
- Revolve Overflow (FULL)
- Hamachi server: Revolve Overflow
- Hamachi password: revolve
- Revolve Segegg Server (Overflow 2)
- Hamachi server: Revolve - Segegg
- Hamachi password: revolve
[edit] How To Setup Hamachi
Hamachi isnt hard to setup, But if you need assistance, follow this guide.
[edit] 1. Download & Install Hamachi
Go and Download Hamachi 1.0.3.0. After it finishes downloading. Install it.
VISTA & WINDOWS 7 USERS: You may need to right click the Installer file you downloaded and left click, "Run as administrator".
When installing, Select "non-commercial version".
[edit] 2. Configure Hamachi
After Hamachi installed, Go ahead and run it. When Hamachi comes up, Follow any on screen steps to setup Nickname / whatever. If you are running Hamachi on a number of machines, Be sure to set your nickname to something Descriptive like, Steve (Laptop) or Steve (Desktop).
[edit] 3. Join a Network
Revolve has various networks already setup. A list of them can be found above. When playing with a friend that is also running Hamachi, make sure you both are in the same Network.
When you found the network you want to connect to, Click on the "POWER ICON" in the bottom left corner of Hamachi. After that does its thing, Click on the "TRIANGLE" icon on the right, and click "Join an existing network".
At this window, Type in the name of the Network and Password. If all goes correctly, Congrats! You are now on the Hamachi network.
[edit] Tips
- In the Hamachi main menu, At the top you should see something like 5.199.94.148. This is your Hamachi IP Address. Under this is your Nickname, and under that is a lighter shade of Grey. These are all the other users in the Hamachi network. Beside their nicknames are their Hamachi IP Addresses.
- You must be in the same Network as the host to play on their server.
- If you cannot connect, confirm Hamachi is running.
[edit] Troubleshooting
- I cannot connect a server! We both are running Hamachi.
- You must be in the same Network as the host to play on their server.
- If you're running Windows Vista / Seven, You need to set the Hamachi connection to home & NOT Public.
- Try turning off your firewall.
- Hamachi isnt responding
- Sometimes Hamachi likes to freeze on Windows 7 systems. Just end the task, and start it back up.
- Im being shown as relayed to other people on network.
- Make sure you are running Hamachi version 1.0.3.0. This is VERY important.
- You may have to do some port-forwarding in your router.
